Stay Focused on God

I just want to remind you that because you trust in, lean on, and confidently hope in the Lord, you are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides and stands fast forever (Psalm 125:1). This was the reminder I had from the Holy Spirit, and I would like to share it with you.

I was anxious and concerned about things I was praying for and expectant to see in my life. The Holy Spirit reminded me of Isaiah 50:7 “Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore, have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.”

He reminded me of the following:

  • As I pray and give Him my concerns daily, I need to trust that He hears me.

“Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24).

  • As I trust in Him, I need to strongly believe that He will not let me be put to shame.

“Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” (Psalm 34:5).

  • As I strongly believe in Him that He will not put me to shame, I need to set my face like a flint.

A flint is a type of rock. Rocks are steadfast and unshakeable and are not distracted by their environment. My focus needs to be solely on God almighty not on any man. Moreover, my circumstance or situation should not distract me from focusing on the author and finisher of my faith (Hebrews 12:2a).

Lastly, He is a God of integrity, and His promises are reliable and dependable.

  • “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good and fulfill it?” (Numbers 23:19).

  • By the end of the time spent in God’s presence, my confidence was renewed, and I had so much peace. I know and I am confident that the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18).

Our God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or ever imagine. I want to encourage you all to stay focused on Him. He will not disappoint you; He is a faithful God! Love you all and praying for you daily. Have a week filled with great and awesome testimonies!
